Aisha Jamila Hinds is a popular American actress. Her fame is due to her roles in the the TV show The Shield, and True Blood. Ever since her debut in 2003 she has proved her abilities in the role of actress with stunning performances on television shows like 9-1-1 Detroit 1-8-7 as well as Under the Dome. The first time she was noticed was for her role as Anna in the film Assault on Precinct 13. It was however her portrayal of feminist activist Fannie Louis Hamer, in the biopic All the Way, which earned her the respect she earned as an actress. She had a successful acting career with her roles in Iruvar (1997 as well as Aur Pyaar ho Gaya (1997). In the months before releasing Provoked: A True Story 2006 in English the actress returned to Bollywood for a role in Dhoom: 2 (2006 smash film).
